More about me

well it is Saturday night. I had to work at Hollywood video tonight. At times we weren't that busy. I had some time to think more about this website and a question that I have been asked a couple of times now. (Why haven't I mentioned anything about my starting weight and where I am today?)

The answer is that I am embarrassed and ashamed that I got as heavy as I was. But by now I am accepting that I was 355 pounds in May, and have moved on from that. I guess that you could possibly say that I was being selfish and not letting anyone know this information. Each week I feel better knowing how far I have come. I am understanding more and more how letting people know what my heaviest weight was that it can be motivational knowing that to some people.

Whether or not you need or what to lose any weight and have tried or thought about trying I hope I have given some motivation to you that If I can do this journey anyone can succeed at it as well.

I will have a new monthly picture soon.

Becky, you know how proud your father and I are about your weight loss success and your determination has inspired us and others. You are absolutely following the best approach - diet and exercise, and we will always support you in this effort. While your physical body may be shrinking, your spirit has tripled in magnitude. It's so nice to see your "spark" and perky personality again.

love, mom

Your post reminds me of one of my favorite quotes that says "No matter how far down the scale we have gone, we will see how our experience can benefit others."

How you got to 355 and how you are going back to healthy weight are experiences that will help and inspire others beyond what you ever thought possible. Keep sharing on this blog and at your WW meetings and elsewhere what it was like, what happened, and what it's like now for you.

Can't wait to see your latest photo!
